"Clean, large and beautiful rooms, very useful to have washer and dryer in the room, and staff are extremely helpful. There are no free pastries unlike in prior reviews. Compared to large hotels, price is quite high as similar price in Shanghai usually includes breakfast and more facilities."

Location is on the Bund and it doesn’t get better than that. Many shopping malls nearby and historic attractions are just a short walk away. Besides its rich cultural heritage and history, I highly recommend staying here for its convenience and excellent service."

"We had an incredible stay - would highly recommend the hotel. The reception staff were absolutely wonderful and made the stay perfect. There was a female receptionist who was amazing. There was an evening where we were exhausted and wanted to order food in the room. We couldn't work out how to use the apps, the receptionist was able to order us food within 10 mins. She also helped us with booking our first didi/taxi and giving advice on the easiest/quickest routes for stuff. "

From the first email I sent to the reservation and their incredibly prompt respond, to the transport arrangement from the airport organized to by the concierge to the fastest check in done by Sunny, who was the most gracious and professional ever, to then to Jason, my butler who helped me with choosing the perfect room with the view! Fernando at the restaurant was very friendly and helpful...

" The staff are generally nice, but I had a very bad experience with the laundry service. I checked out today and shall talk to them again with the issues through third parties. I asked the laundry room to clean a small pack of my baby’s clothes. The staff recommended that I leave the clothes with them so they could take care of it. I confirmed this with them twice. However, they asked my wife to sign a blank form, and later they charged us 1,800 RMB (about $300) just for washing a small bag...

"Staff were very helpful, pleasant & welcoming. The hotel is next to YuYuan garden, lovely area with lights in the evening, lots of shops nearby for meals & other shopping. Central convenient location for other sights. The hotel is very clean, our stay of 2 nights was pleasant & comfortable. Robot delivered coffee pods for the keurig coffee machine when we ran out. I would definitely return to stay on our next visit to Shanghai. "
