"Most of the staff was very friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The desk chair needed to be replaced as the leatherette surface was flaking off over 90% of the surface. The lobby was beautiful. It was quiet and we felt very safe. The breakfast was very good with several choices. We would definitely return if the opportunity arises."

Check-in was straight forward, but upon entering our room, we immediately walked out and went back to the check-in counter due to the overwhelming vape smell mixed with a musky scent, as if someone tried to cover it up. When we informed the front desk staff member of this, all she cared about was asking if we had used anything in the room. I had checked in maybe 10 minutes prior--only enough time for us to move the car and bring a load of our baggage...

To make matters worse, management refused to allow a room upgrade and denied housekeeping service throughout my multi-night stay, explicitly stating they were prioritizing a large reunion group instead. "The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast. Some of the hallway carpet is not clean and filled with sports. Our sofa pullout mattress was stained with blood and who knows what else. No maintenance person available for several days to address our issues. PLEASE do not stay here. No compensation for my inconveniences."

"The location is the draw for this hotel. It has immediate access to the sandy beach of Lake Michigan with great views of the water and the sunrise over the lake. Unfortunately, the hotel itself needs modernization and better cleanliness."

"The staff were so nice! The rooms and bathroom were so clean. The building is a little older but everything was in good shape. Free WiFi use and the air conditioner worked perfectly. The price was also fair. It was 90 dollars and a 50 dollar deposit fee but you get the 50 dollars back in your account after 5 days."
