"We stayed in the Collingwood Suite and it was very comfortable. The bathroom was upstairs as you enter the suite, with the bedroom down the stairs. Stairs lit by small lights, very nice touch. The towels and robes were comfortable. For being a city centre hotel, it was very quiet, we heard no traffic through the night and the bed was cosy and comfortable. The only negative was that the tea and coffee making facilities are hidden in a cupboard, i initially thought there was no milk as it was...

"Lovely hotel located on the river away from the noise of the city. Great room and nice extra touches like bathrobes and water in the fridge. The bathroom is somewhat dated but the bedroom felt modern and had a really comfy bed. Really nice breakfast staff, so attentive to food allergies, particularly Elizabeth. Would definitely return to this hotel"

"We have just had a wonderful stay here as my other half was doing the Great North Run. The staff were so helpful polite and attentive. The room was excellent spacious .really comfy beds full bathroom and had everything we needed as well as very quiet. So now comes the restaurant........ wow just wow the food was top notch all freshly cooked and some of the best Italian we have ever had. "Outstanding, we are regularly away for the odd night but this is the absolute best place we have stayed! The room (15) was amazing more like an apartment and was spotlessly clean, prosecvo in room was chilled for our arrival and a special birthday treat - chocs and strawberries was a lovely touch. The grounds are immaculate and the food is delicious. Both dinner and breakfast service was perfect, staff from us checking in to us leaving were lovely. We can't wait to stay again and have told...
