Disappointing stay at Quality Inn & Suites Bel Air I-95 Exit 77A. We booked this hotel expecting basic amenities for our family, especially with four kids who needed space to burn energy before bed. The experience fell far short.
The pool was completely out of service and has apparently been closed since February. A sign at the front desk mentioned it, but the receptionist didn’t point it out at check-in. This matters, because refunds for cancellations are only granted before check-in. We would have reconsidered. Looking through the pool window, it appeared neglected and full of stagnant water.
No working gym, and the side door didn’t lock—anyone could walk in without a key. Serious safety concern.
Room conditions were poor. One room’s door lock stopped working and we had to switch. Both rooms smelled musty and moldy. The A/C units blew a strong chemical odor, almost like bug spray. Wallpaper was peeling, everything felt worn, and there’s no carpet to blame. Also, no USB charging ports in either room, which made charging devices harder for our family.
This hotel is not being maintained, and management is not being upfront about the condition of the property. We will not stay here again and do not recommend it, especially for families.
