"This is our second stay at the Talbot, first was late summer 2024. Atm, the pub part of the hotel is closed and meals were not offered. Local gossip said the hotel was being used for asylum/immigrants, I saw no evidence of this and the clients seemed to be mostly couples and businesses. Dad and I stayed in a twin room, it had a large shower, no bath, desk, tv (not in hotel mode so streaming stick was easy to use), slightly larger than sister’s double. WiFi was good in the room and handled...

"A very last minute stay after being let down by another property. The reception staff went above and beyond. Room was clean and had the most comfortable bed I've experienced in a hotel. We didnt have time to use the pool etc but did dine in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Food was lovely with gluten free options. Would definitely stay again."
