"Matfen Hall really is outstanding, my stay was faultless. All staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful- I was greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and my bags were taken up to my room whilst I checked in and relaxed in the Great Hall. Every nook and cranny of this hotel is gorgeous, beautifully crafted and fabulously furnished, including the room I was allocated. It was a generous size bedroom and dressing area with a huge bathroom, stunning views and light and airy in the daytime but warm...

"Very nice inside with good quality bathroom, bed area, tv, kettle & fridge."

"Hotel is in a prime position for Newcastle city centre the room has everything you need.The prices and food are reasonably priced for a city hotel.The staff were very helpful from check in to check out.The only downside was the music coming from the public bar underneath the hotel which only stopped at 2am."

Modern themed bathroom with ovebath rain head shower. Nice and powerful. Tv ,ironing board, mini fridge,hairdryer modern themed bedroom subdued lighting everything is class. "We got off to a shaky start as the automated check in process was a but of a nightmare and the staff were all tied up with Sunday lunch. Following this however things picked up. The room was clean and had plenty of space and the property itself was in very good condition. Had an excellent carvery on arrival and breakfast was also really nice. After the initial slip up staff were very helpful and polite. There was plenty of parking and the registry process for parking was nice and easy. Well...
