"This hotel is under construction..the breakfast they advertised on expedia is NOT included in the rate…surprise…the hotel room is sufficient and roomy. My second stay (different room) the nespresso maker did not work and I could not get hot water for my shower. I was not impressed at all. I would not stay again!!"

"What you see in the ad is what you get. It is shared accommodations, but it is clean and the other guests were respectful. The bathrooms/showers were very clean. I will be back for short stays as it is a great low cost option while staying in near Keflavik. Don't expect any communication with staff or operators. It is an automated business without human contact."

"This was a fantastic hotel with a great breakfast. Very clean and comfortable. Only areas for improvement would be: 1) turn on the AC, the rooms were quite warm (and with the thermal vents so close, opening the windows could lead to a strong sulfur smell depending on the wind direction), 2) put in a pool or hot tub and 3) while the restaurant had an excellent breakfast, Max's dinner was a bit pretentious."

"Property is what you are looking for, a place to rest and be in the middle of everything. The room was very clean, staff was cordial, breakfast was good and hot. The area needs tourism, sadly that tow. Has been through everything. You should go and support it. I’m glad we did, went to the blue lagoon which is 10 minutes away. And there’s so much more."

"This was a very basic bare bones accommodation. The cabin was fairly small but the furnishings, floors, fixtures were all old, musty and smelly. Bathroom in particular was smelling quite badly 😢 On the positive side, the location of the cabin was great and quite close to Keflavik airport. "The hotel looked great and the beds were very comfortable. However, the booking didn't include access to the spa so it costs 6000 isk per person extra if you were expecting to use it. Also, I almost felt the employee was not happy to greet us when we arrived, check out was great though!~"

"Serene Silica Hotel...much less traveled lagoon experience. Frolic and bask in hot healing waters without the masses. Stayed here twice and next visit to Iceland will stay again.."
