"The hotel itself was fine. The pool which was one of the main reasons for booking this property was closed. Then the hotel sent me a parking fine for despite paying for parking and having a receipt which has been nothing but stress to have this finally removed"

"The room was clean but I would have liked a safe and sheer curtains it didn't feel private or secure. The staff were friendly but their energy i found wanting and not customer focused. Having said that Charlie and Makency were the exception and were very helpful to me. The bar was very badly looked after lots of tables not cleared quickly and very slow service. "Arrived and checked in and very quickly learned there was no water in our room. There was maintenance in the building so we had to navigate several floors and corridors to get there. Then discovered the phone didn’t work so had a 5 minute trip back to reception who advised the water was out throughout the building. I was annoyed they’d let us check in and not mentioned this but they told us it would be back on in 30 mins. 2 hours later no water still so another hike to reception and was told...

"We only stayed one night and suited us fine. Staff were helpful and friendly and our room was a good size and clean. A little dated but it wouldn’t stop us staying there again. Breakfast was good with a varied choice. There was no lift but staff carried our luggage to our room which was a nice touch. Sizeable carpark and a good location."

"This was my first time staying at the Holiday Inn Watford and it was amazing! Everyone was sooo friendly especially the staff in the restaurant.
