"Nous avons réservé un cottage au Bürgenstock pour 9 200 CHF/3 nuits. À l’arrivée, nous avons découvert qu’il n’y avait pas de climatisation, alors qu’il faisait 35°C. Impossible d’y séjourner correctement. L’hôtel étant complet, on nous a proposé une chambre au Waldhotel, moins bien, avec vue montagne, mais avec un supplément de 3 720 CHF par nuit : totalement inacceptable. "Clean room yet slightly smaller than ideal. No A/C. Did not have breakfast. Only coffee and croissant that was reasonably priced. Staff was friendly. With a small room it would have been nice to have a larger sitting area in a common area."

"Although this is not a 5 start hotel by any standards, it has absolutely spectacular views of the Lake Lucerne. Stunning especially if you’re on the 4th floor like we were. The breakfast is a little underwhelming for the price charged. The staff were fantastic and very helpful."

"I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is great—less than a 10-minute walk to the train station. The area felt very safe, and there were lots of stores and places to eat nearby, which made everything very convenient. The hotel is modern and clean, but it is quite expensive. The gym was a bit disappointing. It's small, and the equipment isn't very good, so I didn't really use it. The only thing I didn't like was the staff. They weren't rude, but they never smiled and didn't make me feel...

"Very friendly staff. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. Our own controllable A/C unit was in the room! Great views of the town. The funicular makes getting down to town quick and easy. Large Parking area. Me and my wife both agree that Château Gütsch is a must stay when visiting Luzern, and a room with a city view is well worth the extra cost."
