"We stayed at the LYV on Karl Marx Strasse and I’d recommend it for people looking for apartment style accommodations in an area of Berlin that is pretty lively and has great access to the U-Bahn and the Ring-Bahn. There are lots of middle eastern restaurants, grocery stores, and parks nearby. The street does have a lot of street noise but when the windows are closed there is no issue. "A down side was the pool was a little chilly and then was closed for a portion of our stay. The hotel also allows smoking on balconies. So, this can make the room quite unpleasant for non-smokers. The kitchen and full laundry was much appreciated! The location is also amazing if you plan on using the trains or trams."
