However, we had a very unpleasant experience with a staff member named Phil, we believe (he would not actually give us his name, we had to ask another staff member). My colleague and I were staying the night in advance of a work event the following day. "Clean, neat, minimalist property"

"I thought the front desk staff was great. They did what they could to resolve the issues. I had problems first night there. There were people running up and down the stairs til 3 am. I also spoke to the maid about cleaning my room and gave my room number to the front desk to be cleaned but they didn’t clean it. There was a roach in my bed and crawling on the wall. The breakfast staff was helpful."

The breakfast was finished at 9:30am sharp, so no dawdling allowed. Exercise room is nice but could use some temperature control as it was kinda hot in there. Ate at nice Italian restaurant close by, Luccas Chophouse. We sat outside, ordered homemade seafood ravioli with a scampi sauce and received great service."

My room for the most part was as pictured. I checked for any remanence of bugs and was glad to not have found any. The room was clean. "This was a unique hotel, beautiful and comfortable room, lovely property, but be aware this is not your Hilton or Marriott. There are no elevators or on-site parking. You park across the street, no problem unless your baggage is heavy. I climbed to the 3rd floor with my baggage. Not terrible for me but unexpected. I probably failed to read the fine print 😁.
