"Really enjoyed my stay at the Clayton Hotel in Amsterdam. The building is beautiful, full of character, and the location is absolutely spot on! everything you could want is just a short walk (or tram ride) away. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which set the tone for a great stay. "We had a wonderful view of the canal from our window. The breakfast in the morning was very handy and the eggs cooked to order were good. There was a rare heat wave (high of 87 F) and the air conditioning was fantastic. The room was cramped for 2 people ( sit on bed to use laptop) and the bed a bit lumpy and hard. Overall very pleasant. "

"We booked this hotel as it looked nice and was a very reasonable price for the area it was in. It’s located opposite the Rijksmuseum and for the night was cheaper than some hostels in Amsterdam. Our room was on the lower ground floor and was a small, yet clean and well built space-which was all we needed for our stay. "The property is in a great area, close to everything. Lots of cafe bars and restaurants, shopping and most attractions walkable. Tram stop almost outside hotel. Staff are very very friendly. Reception (everyone) were extremely friendly and helpful, I would say exceptional. Only negative and small concern, room was on smaller side, no kleenex. The bed however was uber comfortable. Great place to stay."

"Très bine placé. Typique de la ville. Très calme."

"Very handy room location, just outside the lobby! Easier for our age group to have this convenience. . . and healthy apples on which to snack! Cappuccino every day. We used the nearby trolley for arrival and access to train station upon leaving. Pleasant staff was much appreciated!! Our window to the outside was, unfortunately, darkened with scaffolding -- and I missed having sunlight while in our room. But that's not necessarily anybody's fault"

"Amazing experience from begining to end. Great central location, great apartment with 24 HR reception. The reception staff are truly amazing especially Saskia on the desk - was so helpful and accommodating - it was a warm clean apartment with everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and would like to thank Golden Mansions apartment for helping to make our stay in Amsterdam so wonderful! Thank you!"

"An old favorite, in the heart of Amsterdam. Charming rooms at a good price. Don't expect a flashy four star hotel. This place has much more authentic atmosphere than any corporate facade.
