"The air con had broken in the hotel during the June 2026 heatwave. We were lied to, told we could move rooms to a working one and weren’t told it had broken everywhere until 11.30pm when returning from a concert. We asked if we could get a refund and were told we could, so at midnight we left and went to find somewhere else. 2 weeks on and I have had no apology, no refund and no acknowledgement of this being dealt with. I’m £244 out of pocket as I had to pay for another hotel. Avoid."

"I really like this place. THe only negative was that there is no USB port in the room, or anywhere in the carpark to charge an electric vehicle. Parking is easy and plentiful. Breakfast is great. Din't actually meet a single member of staff except in the pub (where they were very pleasant) - so i cannot really comment on the staff. It would be ice to actually see someone or have the facility to ask a question etc"

"Treated myself to a night here and given the price point expected a lot and was sadly disappointed. Upon reaching reception I found a queue to check in. There were three staff members behind reception but only one was dealing with guests. This was frustrating. Finally checked in, room was a nice size, the air conditioning was a god send in the heat and the bed and bedding was very comfy. The bathroom was large and pleasant, but showing its age. "⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed at the ibis Styles Birmingham Centre for one night and, considering we only paid £46.69, we were genuinely impressed. The reception area was clean, spacious and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They showed us where we were on a map and pointed out nearby attractions, including directions to the Utilita Arena where we were attending an event.
