"We stayed at the Hampton on our trip to San Diego based on the reviews and we are very happy we chose to stay there. Every staff member we encountered were very friendly and courteous, everyone we encountered said hello and asked if we needed anything. The hotel was clean and smelled like fresh laundry. "Friendly staff"

"It was very convenient being right off the I5. However it is not a quiet place. At least in the back. Trains coming and going all night blowing their horns. Trucks coming and going all night honking their horns. Back up beepers going all day. Restaurant is across the parking lot and you pay for breakfast. But parking is free and had a lot of spaces except on Fridays and Saturdays. Had free water refilling stations. Overall we were very happy."

"It was everything I expected. Great staff great amenities. Outstanding breakfast. I draw back but not a reflection on staff upstairs guest were inconsiderate running and banging all night. Notified desk and issue was resolved quickly. Really enjoyed our stay."

"We had a good experience overall. The room was big and clean. Daily housekeeping (upon request) was great. Parking was plenty. Taking off one star because the breakfast was very poor. The breakfast room was small and cramped, items kept running out constantly, and the items did not taste great. Coffee and juices tasted watered down. I recommend skipling the breakfast and going to the Denny's across the road."

Not just the cleaning agents but a terrible smell that cannot be rid despite keeping the door open. Room appeared clean but was not.
