"Newish hotel, very clean, staff very helpful. No access to rooftop terrace due to private event. Food good and reasonable price. Bedroom doors very heavy to open. Dogs accepted and allowed to fight and bark in the restaurant area."

Only a couple of minor things really , the shower head kept dipping down so was a bit of pain when you were shampooing etc . "We were met by our first names and instantly offered a cup of tea and cake! This personal,friendly theme ran throughout our short stay and made it a really lovely experience. The rooms were large and beautifully furnished with everything you could want and shiny clean. Breakfast was well organised with a time slot so we could again benefit from the personal touch from our super hosts. Excellent, freshly cooked large portions😀. Would happily stay here again and recommend to friends and family."

"Julia & Jamie were the perfect hosts. Friendly & helpful. The accommodation is really clean and well maintained. Cooked breakfast was always nice and hot with a plentiful supply of fruit, pastries and cereals available. The pool/patio area looks a lovely place to relax and the pool looks really inviting. "We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place."
