"This is truly an exceptional hotel. Helpful and friendly staff, roomy room, super bathroom. The renovations were luxuriously done for an 1800s building. Breakfast was superb. Overall, very Danish and likeable. My only issue was there is no AC. Denmark experienced a heat wave and its full summer. Thankfully it cooled at night and open windows helped."

"The stay blew away our expectations. We got a suite instead of a single room. The staff were probably the friendliest people in Copenhagen. The views of the canal out the window, the details paid to everything (the hidden fridge), the great water pressure. It's been years, maybe decades since a hotel impressed me as much as our stay at the Kanalhuset did."

The TV was on the wall along the side of the bed. If you sat on the edge of the bed the screen was less than a meter from your face and no back suport. "The rooms are nicely decorated and clean but poorly designed. The bathroom that has the toilet and shower is tiny. The shower in our travel trailer has more room. I would not recommend this hotel for larger size people. The elevator only stops on the floor you’re staying on. Our children’s room was on a different floor which our room key couldn’t access. With some reluctance the staff gave us a separate room key for their floor."

And an easy (or cycle) walk to most of the museums, palaces, gardens, restaurants and cafes.
