"The Peaceful Cottage was very comfortable, extremely clean, and well appointed. After driving on the I-5 all day, it was a cool respite in the heat on my journey. I really liked the little yard for my dog. I only stayed one night but it is close to Redding and Shasta lake dam which was pretty to see in the evening. There are a few restaurants in Shasta Lake town but many more options in nearby Redding. Overall, it was a very nice night's stay."

"The house is absolutely beautiful! Perfect size for 3 people and so quiet. The freeway is just a short walk away and couldn’t hear a thing! The property felt isolated but is just a short drive from restaurants and shops. Being able to walk down to the river and use the dock was perfect for wading and fishing. Although the river was high at the time of year we were there, it was still enjoyable and relaxing."

"We had an absolutely spectacular birthday weekend for my wife. The house is completely out on its own—you can’t see another structure wherever you look. The photos honestly don’t do the view justice. It’s gorgeous. The kitchen has everything you need, the master bedroom is as comfortable as you could hope for (we didn’t use any of the guest rooms), and the hot tub is really the highlight of the property. "Perfect place for big group of 16. We have rented this place twice now and have had a great time both stays! Has everything for a big grout of guys or a few families. Everything is just nice enough to not worry about breaking something. Pool is too cold for October though. A heated pool would make the place even better. We will probably be back a some point."
