The platform its 5 inches wider than the mattress, so we kept banging our shins against it as we turned the corner, using the mattress as a guide and forgetting about the protruding platform. It also made getting out of bed a bit harder because you can't plant your feet directly on the floor below you when you sit on the edge of the mattress."
