"We had a lovely stay. Our room was perfect for us….lovely comfy bed and a small courtyard where we had dinner delivered! We were lucky that the weather was very warm too. Our dogs were very happy and calm and safe there . I would happily recommend this room (2) for anyone travelling with dogs. Thank you Wynnstay and staff, you made our trip really comfortable."

"Quite a change since the takeover; breakfast remains excellent, and the room I stayed in has had a big makeover. Everything was really good, except for the new Car Park payment which is a bit complicated, you really need to download the YourParkingSpace app to help. I had difficulty using the QA code on the reception desk. Seems to be free parking though if you book direct ??"

"The room we had was fairly run down. In particular it had a strong and unpleasant odour. At first we thought having the windows open would help. But part way through the night the smell was so terrible we were awake. In the morning we realised it must have been mildew and mold. Some of the glass window pains had black mould, not only around the edges but in the middle of the glass. We left pretty early because we couldn't be in the room anymore. "The hotel was stunning and the staff are very helpful and pleasant. The location is beautiful and ideal for walking in to town centre. The food was very nice, I can’t critique anything about the hotel, staff or service. I gave the amenities 3/5 only because we didn’t stay long enough to use them."

"Lovely old building, good location exceptional breakfast. Parking is a bit of a nightmare after a 10 point turn in the car park had to find parking across the road which was no problem for my little car but you might struggle with a bigger car."

"We stayed in an Executive run which was well maintained and spacious if a little dated. Bathroom had been updated but corners had been cut like an old siding on the bath. Air con worked well and the room was quiet overnight. Breakfast wasn’t great. Limited choices and the eggs were terrible both scrambled and fried, but it was only £10 each.
