"Room very basic, tired, dated. Smelt like strong bleach. Furniture scuffed. No wardrobe or drawers for clothes. Shower was hot and powerful though"

"Parking available at the property, nice village location. Room was nice with period features (although disappointed the 4-poster bed not there as advertised). Food from the pub was delicious although you could hear the noise from downstairs - this didn't particularly bother us but be aware if an early or light sleeper that the rooms are above the bar. Everywhere was warm and comfortable. The bars were busy enough to have ambience, but not packed. The pool was brill."

"The whole unit was exactly as described and expected. Self contained with kettle, fridge and microwave(bonus!). Lovely quiet village area. Very comfortable bed and great ensuite bathroom with excellent and powerful shower cubicle. An optional help yourself breakfast facility is a new concept which we didnt use this time, but thought a great idea. We would definitely stay again as the price is very competitive. One small suggestion would be for a choice of some deeper pillows maybe?"

"Overall, the stay was good but the room could’ve been more clean - the room wasn’t hoovered throughout our stay, and if it was, it wasn’t to a good degree. The room also felt dusty. We did raise this with staff, and they were very apologetic but when we returned back to the room the following day, the room was tidy but it was obvious that the carpet wasn’t hoovered. The location was good, and in addition to the car park, there were free car parks a few minutes walk away which was very...

"The ceiling was leaking liquid down the bathroom wall. The room was not set up for 2 people. There should be a shelf in the shower to hold shampoo, wash gel, etc. Could not figure out how to turn on towel warmer. Upside is the you g lady at the reception desk was very responsive. "

"Cooked breakfast was exceptional and good choice of cereal on continental, although would benefit from the addition of berries and yoghurts to the menu. Food at night was also fantastic. Great prices too."
