"Our room was extremely cold for the first two days we were there at the end of October 2026. No heat at all. On the third day, we requested to change room and there was a room available and was lees exposed to elements like no north exposure. We were told that at the Fortezza, the heat is not on before November 1. We talked to other tourist when we took an excursion to Venice and their hotel room in other hotels in Florence were warm.
The room was very clean and the bathroom was nice but...

"Really liked the hotel, the location was excellent. Room size was a generous size, the added twin-sized couch was nice to have so as not to spend all the time in the room on the bed. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, good value for price."

"I liked that there was a restaurant and a buffet for breakfast and I have one complaint. Why is the pool not inside because it’s usually really cold in Italy and but that was not very major. The hot tub was very nice. It could be warmer and the bed was hard other than that everything was perfect."
