"The property was cold and the device to set the temperature seemed to be out of battery. It was somewhat hard to find, and when we entered there was a vacuum cleaner sitting in the hallway. Parking can be hard to find, and the owners' emails seemed to be automatic and not responsive."

"Really nice place and would stay again but I would probably remember to book a room with a bigger bed 😂. We didn’t do the Spa but maybe next time. The restaurant was lovely and some amazing views overlooking the Peak District. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"Spa was amazing lots of undercover space as it rained !! 2 x swim up bars / all staff were amazing too. The hotel itself was lovely all staff were so helpful for walks and village information from breakfast to bar and evening meal, only issue is that lunch is not available. Also no lifts and if older people would struggle getting upstairs. "

"When we arrived at the lodge we were supposed to be staying in there was another family there who said the lodge they were supposed to be staying in was occupied so they were given this lodge. We rang the contact number and he apologised, we were provided the key code for another lodge and when i opened the door that was occupied as there was a dog in there. "The property is situated in a beautiful location handy for Bakewell and Buxton. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy although the pillows were not great. There was lots of storage for our things. The bathroom was also a good size but I was disappointed to find a couple of long black hairs on the floor! The staff were pleasant and efficient. The breakfast was plentiful and we also are there in the evening whi h was tasty and good value for money. There is plenty of parking space."

"Fantastic place to stay We went as a family with children 11 and 14 who enjoyed the pool after a long day at Alton Towers The only down fall or negative point would be the toilet roll in the rooms were awful and cheap that needs looking into. Otherwise a fantastic stay and I’ll be staying again sometime. "
