There’s an overwhelming smell that greets you as soon as you enter the building that sets the standard for the cleanliness of the rest of the stay that is to come:The linens from the towels to the sheets had stains throughout. Paint chipping off the wall in the bathroom and what I could only imagine was grease stains from previous guest on the barely filled toiletries in the shower. "As this was a budget, one-night stay, our expectations weren’t high. The older building, musty smells, etc. were expected. However, the lack of customer service and basic amenities was disappointing. TV did not work without staff resetting it. Sheets were clean but had red stains. We were only given one room key and two towels for family of five people (and yes, we were upcharged for our fifth person, our third child). No plug for the bathtub eliminated a bath as an option. "Everything was excellent. The only reason I gave only 4 stars for staff is because I requested late checkout, and the next morning when I double checked (fortunately!), it was not noted. It all worked out; the morning staff was able to grant late checkout."
