"I am wary of doing chain hotels but chose to stay here due to the location and the fact it boasted a "fitness facility". The location was convenient as it was sited at a Welcome Break services. I was able to park close to the entrance. I was warmly greeted but on checking in found out that there was a separate £5 charge for overnight parking which was not disclosed at the outset of booking the accommodation. "A truly delightful hotel in a convenient location with excellent staff and facilities. Impossible to fault overall - 2 tips… dont park under the trees in front of the building. I dont know what the birds eat, but they eat A LOT of it. Then theres steps….pack light, you’ll be hauling your luggage up a LOT of steps :-) - its a 13th century manor house, lifts werent a “thing” !"

"The bedrooms and halls probably needed to be refurbished 30 years ago. They certainly are long overdue a completely overhaul today. The bathroom was grimy and there was no excuse for not providing a single chair in the room. What was the point in providing even the tired dressing/table desk without one?"
