"We had a delightful stay at Cawdor House, thanks in large part to the fabulous couple who own and run it. Their warmth and hospitality truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. "Yes, the hotel is a little dated but it is clean and comfortable. The room we were in needs some refreshing but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth staying. Meals in the restaurant/pub were very delicious. It is about half hour from Inverness but that means the area is very quiet. The hotel overlooks the bay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. "

"The staff, room and hotel was very nice. But I have to say the prices for a hotel in the Highlands was London prices. Also we took breakfast with the room and when we checked out, and I checked the bill, they charged for herbal tea, this was never explained to us. The lady at the reception took this charge off. "

"From checking in to checking out the staff were really helpful and attentive. We ate in the restaurant twice in our four night stay and the food was fantastic. We even had the honor of being the first to choose off the new summer menu and it didn't disappoint. The choice of beers/ ales and every spirit avilable at the bar was geat and prices were very fair. Wednesday nights Jo and special guests was a lovely surprise and we really enjoyed the music. And to cap it all off we got to see dolphins...

"This place.was perfect for our stay in Inverness. We only stayed two nights, but the apartment would have good for a long stay. You can't beat the location, just short walks to shops, restaurants and pubs. Our room had a view of Inverness Castle. The apartment has a great layout with a large kitchen and livingroom area. "Great place to spend a night or two to explore around Tain. Tiny town, so everything is walkable (Glenmorangie distillery too, albeit along a somewhat busy A road at least for now - there is a private car hire).
