BEACH WITHOUT THE BUSTLE

This condo is situated in the quiet town of Betterton and located just steps away from the largest and most beautiful beach on the Northern Chesapeake Bay. The condo has a large deck accessible from two nine foot sliding glass doors from both the family room and master bedroom. Enjoy true indoor/outdoor living with meals or drinks on the deck while watching the spectacular sunset over the water.

This nicely furnished and well appointed 2 bedroom 2 full bathroom condo has everything your dream vacation needs minus the hustle and bustle. Relax on the spacious deck and bbq while enjoying the water view looking North towards Turkey Point and Havre DeGrace. Enjoy a family day on the beach and feel free to use our beach chairs, rafts, and sand toys. Betterton is located just far enough North in the Bay to have a salinity low enough to keep the Jellyfish away. The beach has a lifeguard during the summer months.

Betterton is a quaint little town on the Chesapeake Bay located at the mouth of the Sassafrass River. It is the perfect destination for your family getaway where you can relax in tranquility far away from the crowds and traffic. Stroll down to the beach to catch the sunset or fish from the pier for the easy to catch giant blue cats and the occasional striper. You can even try crabbing from the dock (July 15th to November 1st). If you have a boat you may dock on the town pier for up to 72 hours or use the town boat launch. Boat trailers may be stored at Turners Creek Launch about 5 miles away. Families are welcome! We have a portable crib, booster seat and kiddie dishes. In town there are two parks each with a playground within walking distance for the kids. The park at the top of the hill has tennis and pickleball courts, basketball courts and a baseball field with public restrooms. There is an electric car charging station 2 blocks away.

Highly rated Marzellas, the local pizza shop delivers directly to the beach and has excellent pizza, cheese steaks, and subs with great tasting rolls and chopped steak imported all the way from "Philly"!

Historic Chestertown is only 20 minutes away through beautiful farm country. Enjoy shopping, walk along the Chester River boardwalk, coffee in the town square, or dine at one of its fine restaurants. On weekends there are free concerts and on Saturday morning there is a "not to be missed" farmers market.

Rock Hall is 30 minutes away and has a quaint main street with art vendors in the summertime, an ice cream shop, restaurants on the water and Crab Houses with a view. There are also fishing charters if you are looking to catch the big one.

Visit Hopkins Game Farm for a private hunt or for sporting clays. Lockbriar Farms has homemade ice cream, farm animals and old tractors for the kids to play on and a pumpkin patch in the fall. Crow Winery is just 15 minutes down the road. Visit the Sassafras Park for hiking and river views (5 miles away).

Historic Chesapeake City with shopping and restaurants is 30 minutes away with a nice drive crossing the drawbridge on the Sassafras river and the Bohemia River.

KITCHEN The kitchen is well-stocked with all of the items you will need to prepare your meals. There is a 12 cup coffee maker as well as a Keurig if you prefer. Sharp knives, non stick pans, big pasta pot and crab pot and electric tea kettle round out the kitchen. There is an electric grill on the deck (gas grills are not permitted). Plan to stock up on groceries and supplies before getting to town, the nearest full service groceries are 20 minutes away. You can find gas, and essentials at Molly's just 6 miles up the road.

MAIN BR The MBR has an ensuite bathroom and a sliding glass door to the deck with a water view. There is a queen bed and a roll-top desk if working remotely is part of the plan. The TV is 47 inches and has a ROKU adapter as well as a 6ft HDMI cord.

2ND BR The second bedroom has a queen bed and a bunk bed.. Access to the full bathroom with a tub/shower is located in the hallway. There is a folding double mattress that may be used for extra sleeping space if needed. Sheets and mattress are stored in the closet alongside the portable crib. The TV is a ROKU.

FAMILY ROOM The family room overlooks the 9ft slider and the water view. It has a couch and a love seat with a 50" ROKU TV that will allow you to access your streaming services. It is attached to a 6ft HDMI cord. So if you can watch it on your laptop you can watch it on the big screen. Of course there is high speed internet with excellent connectivity in the whole condo including the deck. There are puzzles and games for family game nights.

DECK The spacious deck has views of the water. There is a large table with seating for up to 6 people, two Adirondack chairs, and an electric grill.

BASEMENT- The basement has a separate entrance located right by the front door. The basement has a 7ft pool table for your family game night entertainment! There is also a full size washer and dryer, storage for all of the beach toys including chairs, umbrella, and inflatable rafts. There is enough space to store your bikes for exploring the beautiful country roads.
