Rollingside Guest Suite

Two-room guest suite with private entrance located in picturesque Catonsville, MD on a pre-Colonial road originally used for rolling tobacco to the harbor. Downtown Baltimore is 20 minutes away, BWI airport and Amtrak station 15 minutes, and our street is located on a bus route. Beautiful 3.5 mile walk to historic Ellicott City and an hour from Washington, D.C. Individuals and families welcome!

Although the host went out of his way to try to help us get the Brewers on tv, a few things could be improved. We’ve never been asked to eat outside before. It was very cramped in the bathroom/ food heating area. It was very difficult to locate after dark. A bright light showing the address is needed. Also the unit itself needs better lighting. The bed and living room were comfortable.

Time Out!

Our hosts did a great job of making the space comfortable and efficient ! I was well stocked with needed tools, breakfast needs, including coffee pot, and microwave.(I brought homemade granola and some yogurt).The gardens were lovely, it was close to family, the host was great and we would return, again!

Almost 5 stars...

We liked almost everything about this property and our stay. The location was convenient to our area event, and very close to a wonderful variety of restaurants. The suite was an addition to a historical brick house, with lots of info on its history and that of the area. The tv and sound system were outstanding. It was quiet and peaceful. We would have liked a bit more space in the bathoom, but we know compromises are sometimes necessary with additions. More lighting in the tv room would be nice, and the pillows provided on the comfortable bed were thin and unsupportive. Many bring their.own, and we meant to, but forgot. Overall, it was a charming experience and we would book.it again

Clean & Easy

Enjoyed the visit to Catonsville and Cal’s Rollingside Guest Suite worked great for our needs. My family traveled from California (2 parents, 2 adult children) and we visited my elderly mom to celebrate a milestone birthday. Her Catonsville home can only accommodate 2 guests, so we booked Cal’s place for the 2 person overflow. Was clean, easy and very comfortable.

Convenient location, comfortable accommodations and beautiful outdoor space.

My wife and I recently stayed here while we were in town visiting our daughter, her husband and our the grand kids. We were very happy with its convenient location and beautiful outdoor space. The entrance at the back of the house is adjacent to a beautiful and well-maintained garden, complete with a peaceful pond and a clean, inviting pool. The outdoor seating area was a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Sitting and listening to the birds while we had coffee was a highlight. The interior was just as welcoming, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Cal and Colleen were attentive and considerate, ensuring that our stay went well. We appreciated the calm and beauty of the place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with hospitable hosts.

Lovely Grounds

The location is very convenient and the entrance is in the rear of the house where the gardens, tranquility pond, pool, outdoor seating are beautiful! The space is accommodating and the hosts are exceptional and thoughtful to details. The snacks were gobbled up by all of us so thank you for those! The 5 year old enjoyed the outdoor playground and swing. A sweet spot!

This was our second time at The Rollingside Suite. It's perfect for the two of us. Colleen and Cal have a beautiful home and yard. We enjoyed the back patio and garden with our morning coffee, listening to the birds. The guest suite is near the Trolley Trail, which is also great for birding! We walked the Trolley Trail to historic Ellicott City. Had lunch at The Trolley Stop. Thanks, Cal and Colleen, for another lovely time. It was short but sweet this year. As long as our kids are located in Baltimore, this is are great spot for us to stay! Amy and Tom VT
