"The rooms had been updated and were fine. Pillows were very firm and big. Front office staff were kind enough to supply me with a better pillow suited to my needs. Did find the 'smell' of the room disconcerting. EXTREMELY strong smell of 'bleach'. Tried opening the door and airing the place out - but it didn't work. Went to bed smelling 'it' and woke up smelling it. Two other rooms traveling together felt the same way regarding the 'smell'. The ac unit worked great but sounded like...

"We had a wonderful stay for our 25th anniversary. The Oak room was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast for both days was amazing. We look forward to staying there again on our next trip to Hot Springs."

"Avoid this place at all costs. It will not make your experience in Hot Springs a good one. There are surveillance cameras everywhere. The owners live onsite and stand at the end of the building watching you check into your room. No place for dogs to go to the bathroom as described. Rooms smell strong of chemicals. We had to leave it was so awful. Happy Hollow right downtown was amazing and no pet fees!"

"The cutest little gem of a hotel located in the Hot Springs National Park. This was our 4th time staying at Happy Hollow and we'd stay here again anytime we're in Hot Springs. It's a retro looking motel that sits in the National Park. Rooms are always super clean. Staff is friendly and gets you whatever you need. Loved that our room was so spacious and all for a great price. Walking distance to the hikes of course but also to the main drag in Hot Springs."

"There were ants in the kitchen and on the dishes as well as hair on the wall in the bathroom and it smelled like an old apartment instead of a fresh areas which could solely be because the age of the property other than that it was nice."

"I like the historical building. I like that we could walk the area. The bath row was nice to view. My dislike was the hotel is under construction and the power went off. There was a sign posted about the construction. Noting inference to the power outage. All was well within the hotel. Yes, the hotel was clean. They do not get in a hurry about bringing fresh towels. The staff was friendly. We did not eat breakfast or drink from the bar."
