Location was great, short walk to beach and dining. Only complaint was outdoor wasn't clean like interior - railing was filthy and there was lots of spider webs and dirt on steps/surfaces.

This is my second stay at the Boathouse and I absolutely love it. I would honestly live there! The location is amazing. The property itself is clean and well stocked. Communication with the property management co was flawless. I will definitely be back!

A block from the beach

We love Avila and this place gives you quick access to the beach as it is just behind Avila Market. It is tucked in tight behind the businesses that run along the beach. There is a peek-a-boo view to the beach, but we value a quick walk to the beach over a view and a parking spot. Inside is very cute, clean and spacious for a one bedroom. We had four staying there and it was comfortable. There is no A/C but you are just steps from the beach, so go enjoy it. We'd stay again!

Walkable to everything in downtown Avila

Great location! Walkable to everything in downtown Avila. It’s very spacious and bigger then I expected. It was very clean upon arrival and the property manager was easy to get ahold of when we needed something. I’d definitely stay here again. Remember to check your Rental Agreement when checking out. They do not provide any instructions at the rental.

Avila Beach Condo - best location

The condo is right behind the store and just steps from dining, the beach and other services. The unit has a large bedroom and large outdoor space. It was clean and the area is quiet. All this made for a great vacation.

Avila Beach Getaway

The home was well supplied with cooking gear and very comfortable setting. Plumbing was very good. Location was excellent, very secluded and town is quiet at night. Would love to return to this home.

Excellent location!

We visit Avila at least once a year with our family and this location is a block from the sand, ocean, restaurants! Fully stocked, spacious with all the amenities and secured parking. We really enjoyed our stay!

Close and comfortable

My husband and I brought our daughter for her 17th birthday. The king bed was very comfortable, but bring your own blankets if you’re planning on using the pull out sofa as there was only sheets . The cook in kitchen was great and laundry was very helpful

Fantastic condo, amazing locaion

Loved our stay in Avila Beach. The condo is spacious, well-appointed, comfortable, and had everything we needed and then-some. We'd definitely come back, and hopefully use the kitchen more. The location is fantastic, you can see the ocean fro the balcony, and is less than a block from the shops. There was a loud party going on next door but we couldn't hear it from inside. I hope we can come back. It was a bit pricey with the taxes, cleaning and fees, that is the only downside. Property management company was easy to work with, the keyless entry and parking were perfect.

Sweet Avila flat

This flat is very nicely updated, has a great kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, and comfortable bed, and even two balconies with a sitting area outside one of them. Amazing location a block away from the beach, and right behind the Avila grocery- which does however generate noise at night.

Beach Bliss

We were visiting our son at Cal Poly and it was the perfect getaway. A beautiful 15 minute drive to campus and downtown SLO without the “hotel room” feel. Condo sits in a small gated community adjacent to the main boardwalk in Avila with easy beach access through a walkway next to the Avila Market. Close to everything. The large exterior deck had an outdoor fireplace with four big comfy chairs, a separate barbecue area and a peek a boo view of the bay. Interior space is open concept, upgraded kitchen with concrete counters and all of the amenities. An open floor plan with high ceilings and large fans provided for a light, airy living space. The layout is great!! Master bedroom was in perfect harmony with the beach theme and Pottery barn linens made for cozy nights. They were all great looking and the mattress was comfortable too. I even tried to find the patterned duvet to purchase for myself! Master bath was well designed and the tile is beautifully integrated into the beach theme. There is also a 1/2 bath for guests. Everything is well maintained. The parking was easy, convenient and secure. We brought our own but I think it would be nice to provide guests with beach chairs and towels. The couch and chair in living room were a nice fabric but well worn. Overall it was a perfect weekend and the weather did not disappoint! Highly recommend!

Great Location

Our family stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. The location in the middle of everything we love in Avila Beach is hard to beat. Everything was clean and well functioning and we were pleasantly surprised with the outdoor area, furniture and fire table…perfect for our family to gather around!

Great Avila Beach Location

In the end, we found this to be a very comfortable condominium. The plusses include the location. It's just a block off of the main street in Avila Beach which is adjacent to the water. There are fun restaurants right outside your door, practically. Also, there are no neighbors above or below you...or on any sides, either. It's quite private though it's surrounded by other condos. It's rather large with an impressive kitchen, nice sized bedroom and living room area, and 1.5 bathrooms, which is very convenient. The kitchen is really great, though you have to bring just about everything food-wise.... basics like salt and pepper were absent. There are a few things to be aware of. There is no view at all except for the walls of other units and a sliver of a view of a hill that you can see from the bedroom. Of course, that doesn't matter at night or when you're out and about. There are nice patios, but we couldn't enjoy them because of the rain. Also, and importantly, there is no thermostat, furnace, or duct work for air exchange. The heat comes from two gas fireplaces, one in the living room and one oddly placed in the wall of the bedroom. Once we figured out how to use them, we began to thaw out. There should have been instructions and a note so we'd stop looking for the thermostat. It was very cold when we arrived. They heat the spaces well, though they aren't regulated by thermostat. The rental company responded right away to my calls and texts, and they were super friendly. However, they didn't seem to be very familiar with the unit since it's just back in the rental pool, apparently. I don't think I'd stay here again in the winter/cold weather because of the heating/ventilation situation. However, for the price during warmer months, this is a very nice unit.
