"The staff at check-in was warm, welcoming and professional. The suite was clean and well maintained. The one thing that was not up to standard was the iron, it would not steam and cut off repeatedly while using. But that was not an issue because I could have asked for an exchange but never got around to it. I would recommend Coastal Hotel and Suites to anyone, couples, families or individuals I think you will fine this place to be a repeat visit."

"Having a full kitchen made such a difference with my picky grandchildren. We were able to shop near by, prepare meals we enjoy and avoid the mediocre overpriced tourist food experience. They enjoyed the indoor pool when it was raining and we couldn't be on the beach!"

"I can’t say enough good things about this place! It’s our spot. We’ve stayed here before, but this time the kids and I decided to make it our permanent Virginia Beach place. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and the staff is wonderful as well. It’s a really short walk to the beach from the parking lot. "the property was wonderful - all rooms face the beach. With the balcony access the ocean views were tremendous. watched Dolphins every day right in front of our room! Nice to be on the boardwalk - easy walking to lots of eateries and stores. The breakfast was very good and nice dining option in the cafe or out on the terrace. The only drawback was the pool. The first day we arrived it was very nice, but each day it went downhill. Looked like no one was cleaning it and the algae or mold...

"Love the location. Didn't like that there was no "do not disturb" sign to hang on the door. The bathroom fan was broken and did not work, the shower pan could use some updating."

When you arrive at the property to pick up the key for an online reservation They charge you 50$ deposit for the room, 9$ parking, they say that they are going to refund the 50.$ but they don’t, and the staff doesn’t change the blankets on the beds! I paid 519$ for one bedroom plus the 59$ which they don’t refund!"

"First, check in staff was rude. The systems was down so I had a 20 min wait just to check in. The rooms are outdated, which is fine, but they smell funny and are furniture is chipping and peeling. Specifically in the bathroom. The tub leaks a lot. I had to kill 3 bugs in the room while I was there."
