Not a top of the line hotel, but it was clean, good location, and it served our needs. We would definitely stay here again.

This unit was a good price for the location. We wanted an affordable place to sleep that was close to the beach so this worked for us. Unfortunately , there was no smoke detector, no lamps by the beds and a bad smell of cigarettes even though it was advertised as being smoke free.

This was our second time staying there. Location is wonderful. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. And the price was unmatched. Make sure to bring plates, utensils and cups.

First, there was a $250 deposit, which was more than expected for a 2 night stay. It was returned within 48 hours of checkout. The staff was nice. The room had cheap wicker furniture and beds were more like cots. The upstairs room we were in had a huge roof slant and had to duck to use the bathroom and sleep with my head towards the headboard to fit. It had a kitchen but had no pots, pans, plates, silverware, cookware, or anything useful to prepare meals. The location was great for dining, the beach, parking, and entertainment.

First there was a refundable fee due at check in that I was not made aware of until AFTER I booked. It was refunded without issue. It was nice to have a physical key for the room instead of electronic. Heavy doors, sturdy stairs. I never heard anyone else while we were there. Location and parking were excellent. The bathroom and room were better in person than photos which was very nice. Owner was friendly, very chatty. I’ve read negative things about his wife- but I had no complaints. She just seemed quiet, and I think people expect her to be as bubbly as her husband since she did check in. No amenities as it states, but fantastic for the price. We brought our own plates and pans. The owners are firm on the rules. They are anti smoking, but none of my party smoked. They looked like they searched for cigarettes around cars. They came into our room when we weren’t expecting it and only the trash was removed. Be sure to use the do not disturb signs. Great for couples and small families who don’t need any frills. If you plan to party- you may want other accommodations.

A hidden gem! I've been going to Virginia Beach for years and wish I'd found this place sooner. 2 blocks from the beach right in the center of the beach area. Everything within easy walking distance. Clean, beautifully furnished and decorated and reasonably priced. Full kitchen, but just make sure you bring your own pots, pans, plates and utensils if you plan to actually cook! (I read other reviews before I came, so I did!) Both father and son are friendly and helpful and make sure and keep a family friendly environment! I'll be back.

This is the place to stay if you're into more traditional quiet cottages rather than big standard hotels. Angie's is so cute and cozy! The beds are very comfortable and everything extra clean. On top of that Steve Sr. is a hoot! And his dog Shredder is a sweetheart. We could talk forever with Steve and learn the history and interesting facts about the community. So much fun! Also great location, next to the beach and board walk and great restaurants. Loaded up on oysters. We will come back here for sure!

The lady with the long hair in the front waa rude everytime I had to interact. During check in and another occasion she ignored me and only verbalized her concerns in my room. She never greeted me. Also, check your receipt because they charged for additional over night guest. I can say so much even with the other 2 guys. Disrespectful! The red head lady was cool. I asked simple questions and they seemed ready like they were ready for confrontation. I hated every moment and stayed clear from making my stay uncomfortable for my, kids, family concerns, and my belongings. I would NEVER recommend this place.

If you’re looking for a clean comfortable place to stay for your trip to VB Angie’s is the place. The management was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

The checking process was fast. Steve, the younger was very attentive, made a point to make sure I had everything. I needed, including a new refrigerator for the room. Everything was clean nicely decorated.The only issue was the smell of mold or mildew coming from the air conditioner.

The cottage was clean with a homey atmosphere, unlike sterile hotel rooms, and within walking distance of the beach and dining. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about this place! It’s our spot. We’ve stayed here before, but this time the kids and I decided to make it our permanent Virginia Beach place. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and the staff is wonderful as well. It’s a really short walk to the beach from the parking lot. We didn’t have to drive the whole time we were here. Everything you need is within walking distance. Walgreens, Restaurants, 711. There’s an outdoor shower to wash off which in my opinion is one of the best amenities. With kids and sand it’s just nice to be able to rinse off at the cottage, and not have to wait in the line at the beach. There’s an outdoor area to hang out and play also. I almost forgot the security . I had no qualms about sending my 15 year old out to the car at 1130 P.M. to grab his Switch because they have excellent security! You can walk around and not have to worry at all. We will definitely be back as soon as we can!
