"There was ongoing remodeling happening with paint fumes and loud hammer chipping going on over the weekend.We stayed for three days and they never came to clean the room. Had to find someone in the hallway to ask for Clean towels."

"Nicely updated and convenient location. Front desk staff isn't very helpful and they will not let you check-in before 4pm. They will send you away and hopefully have not given your room away when you come back late! Rooms were a goo size and clean. Bathroom plugs didn't work, refrigerator didn't work, we only had 2 towels in the room, went to the front desk and asked for a bath mat and face clothes. Front desk worker asked why we needed more than 2 towels, and said that he would let housekeeping...

"I was very impressed with the Clocktower Hotel. We were in town for a concert, and stayed the night. The room was spacious, and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast buffet was superb. The hotel was very close to the highway and was a short 15 minute drive to the arena. I would definitely stay at the Clocktower again if I'm ever in the Albany area."

"Check in was to be after 3. I was not able to get into the room until almost 4pm. We walked into the hallway at the other end of the hotel that was closest to my room. We were met with a strong odor of air freshener. We then went into the room and the odor was SO PUNGENT and foul. It was a cross of cigarette smoke (we were in a non smoking room, by the way) and perfumed air freshner. My son immediately started sneezing and the odor gave me a headache/nausea. "Breakfast was the typical hotel buffet breakfast. Eggs were fresh, did not eat the sausage or undercooked potatoes. Ran out of muffins before 9am on first day. we decided to eat out the next day as too many kids dominating the breakfast area, even though they were polite and not disruptive. Housekeeping too busy to clean our rooms. If you did not let them come in when they knocked (9am one morning) and asked to come back, they did not come back. "Honestly, best placed I’ve stayed in Albany area. Very accommodating and the pool was absolutely great. My toddler had an absolute blast! Will stay again."
