"Everything was amazing! beautiful room, great views, easy hotel shuttle to and from the train station, breakfast included, accessible to the highlights we wanted to see. If it is not cloudy, the photos on the hotel's website of the matterhorn are real! The spa was a nice touch. We probably spent more time there than hiking in the mountains. Onsite restaurant and bar are a little expensive... but so is everywhere else in Zermatt. The hotel is off of the RED city bus line. Google Maps didn't...

"Felt like a rich edwardian staying in this lovely old hotel. Big room, big bathroom, wide corridors and vast lounge. Great breakfast with sweet, attentive staff. Close to the lake. Shuttle to and from the railway station a godsend. Staying 2 days, we received a free gondola and transport pass. Switzerland is of course very expensive, but provided quality, efficiency and cleanliness everywhere we visited. "

"Sehr schöne Lage und Aussicht. super Frühstücksbuffet mit frischen Produkten und hervorragendem Kaffee. Die Zimmer sind sehr spärlich eingerichtet. Die Einrichtung in den Zimmern ist in die Jahre gekommen. Im Spa kann man nur das Dampfbad gemeinsam nutzen. Sauna ist getrennt und sonst gibt es nur den Pool. "
