"Potts Point is a great area to base yourselves in in Sydney and Spicers is a great "hotel" - actually, that's too impersonal, it feels more like a home away from home. The reception staff are interested and attentive, our room (No.8) was well provisioned and superclean, we were in walking distance of interesting local shops and restaurants, and a short Uber to the CBD. "Bedroom had a particularly offensive smell that would not air out; I noticed later the carpet by the bathroom was coming off the flooring and I am wondering if there was some sort of sewage leak. "There had been a leak in the hallway just before our room and the carpet was wet. On the Monday night the dryer was on till 10.30, 11pm and it was so loud. We had a baby in the room so the next night I asked if it could be turned off and I got someone come and tell me it had to be left on.
