"The hotel is in a prime location. The opera house and harbor bridge are nearby ~2kms. The botanical garden, art gallery are within walking distance. A lot of dining and pubs around. Good place to stroll around from the hotel. Frequent buses opposite to hotel for Central and Millars St.(QVB). I have enjoyed the stay. The room is a bit congested for 4. It was neat and clean. maintained well. The shower tap (Hot/Cold mixer) was not mixing properly. However, it can be easily fixed. Overall good...

"Crystalbrook is perfectly situated in Surry Hills. It’s perfect to travel throughout Sydney, with many transport options. But there’s also a great restaurant and bar scene nearby. The rooms are cleaned and well kept, and the staff is very friendly. Great stay overall!"

We chose this location because of its proximity (and easy public transport) to the Hordern Pavilion (for TISM in case you're wondering) and it is so close and convenient. We walked home from the venue, super quick and we walked into the city several times. The noise from the bar ends around midnight, although it never really bothered us. And although the rooms are dated, they are just stunning - lots of dark carpet and old furniture, but new...
