"The hotel is ok- well located in midtown, and the staff was helpful and friendly. Lobby is new, modern and pleasant. However, the hallways to the rooms are dingy and tattered. Puckered ripped carpet and sagging wallpaper. The room itself was fine- nothing special but really ok. Old fashioned in style but ça va. However, the bathroom was a mess. "The hotel and my room were generally clean and comfortable. Also, the location of the hotel close to Times Square, Broadway, restaurants, museums and other attractions was very good. Room service was good. On the weaker side was customer service at the front desk. They answered questions but it felt as though you were really on your own here. Not much in the way of customer service or general helpfulness. Luggage was stored upon early arrival at no charge which was very good. But no help...
