"Paul and Sophie were the consumate hosts. Attentive without being over bearing. The property is in first class order with everything you could need for a perfect quiet stay. The breakfast was amazing and freshly cooked to order every day. As we have family in the area, we have always struggled to find good accommodation but Lynedene ticked all the boxes!! We will most definitely be back. This will be our number one go to in the area. "

"Been a number of years since I last stayed at the Earl, but will be my go to when in the area for sure. Rooms were comfortable, well equipped and in immaculate condition. Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and breakfast was incredible. Special shout out to the eggs royale, lovely to have some healthy breakfast choices along with the usual full English - which looked equally good! Many thanks to all!"

"Lovely stay. The staff was great! Everyone went out of their way to be kind and helpful, even helping when our plans to tour local sites got messed up by a very heavy winter storm that caused power outages. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a bit pricey, but excellent quality and our servers could not have been better. Breakfast every morning was delicious and, again, our server was lovely. Would recommend this hotel if touring Derbyshire area. "

"We booked a Shepherd's Hut for the weekend. The location is stunning and the Plough Inn is a lovely pub. The staff we met were very friendly and helpful and the food in the pub (breakfast and dinner) was excellent. The Shepherd Hut was perfect. It was well equipped, clean, comfortable and incredibly relaxing. This was a perfect relaxing weekend, we will definitely return."
