"Really good location for beach, sealife & Lgbtq venues. Hotel itself is a little creaky being an old building. The room i was in was close to ventilation system so wouldnt be good for light sleepers (but ear plugs were provided). "Great location for a quick trip. Hotel is good location by the sea about 10 mins walk from train station. Nice little room at the top of the house which was greatly decorated and good view over the square out to sea. Can imagine the room gets hot on a nice day. Breakfast was nice. Was four floor walk up the stairs or a very slow lift. But expected in a period property."

"When we checked in Nancy and Rachel greeted us with warmth and kindness. We loved the atmosphere… probably not for everyone but we freakin loved it. Was one of the most memorable and fun hotels we’ve ever visited.. and we traveled quite a bit as I’m retired from major airline. Great breakfast and we felt like we were quite at home.. if we return to Brighton… absolutely go back❤️"

"The room which I choose, given the option and price was absolutely perfect. The only thing I had an issue with was that in the shower cubicle there was body wash but no shampoo or conditioner. Would whole-heartedly stay here again."

"The hotel was in a great location, right on the seafront and within a 10 minute straightforward walk to the Lanes. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and had a higher professionalism than I've encountered recently in London hotels! The room itself was spacious, clean and with a gorgeous view of the seafront and pier. I would definitely stay there again."

"St Marys Gate Inn looked extremely comfortable, clean and welcoming in the photo's online. Believe me when I say, it is much much more when you arrive. Welcomed by Lola on arrival (we were much earlier than expected) we were shown a table for Sunday lunch straight away (Food is excellent both flavours and presentation). The room was exceptional, huge main area, immaculate bathroom, tea and separate coffee facilities in the room, two huge windows. Bed was very comfortable, just a very relaxing...

"I stayed at Q Square for 4 weeks. I loved every minute of it. The apartment was set up in a very thoughtful way for maximum convenience of the traveler. The shower was one of the easiest to operate. One simple movement was all that was required! The service was marvellous. Friendly efficient staff, always ready to help where necessary. Q square is the only place I will stay when visiting Brighton in the future. Thank you very much Q Square managment. "
