"People were extremely nice at the lodge. They also suggested restaurants which were excellent for dinner and breakfast. This is a cozy quaint town with numerous shops. My sister and I also took the tour at the California Wolf Center and the Eagle Mine. The staff at both areas were quite knowledgeable. What an experience! "

"This hotel is historic, established in 1897. No tv or telephone which made it a welcome escape from big city life. This bed and breakfast was extremely cozy and quiet, the best sleep I've had in a long time. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. A delicious, healthy breakfast of fruit, yogurt, granola,toast eggs and juice was top-notch! Thanks to the entire staff for our wonderful stay!"

"Beautiful and peaceful property with super nice staff. Picturesque property kept nicely manicured. Clean all around. Wish I could have stayed longer. Only disappointing part was that there isn't a restaurant there or a bigger assortment of breakfast food. The little coffee cart was cute and fit the ambiance. Would be perfect if you need to get away and decompress or for a wedding. for a getawayWill definitely visit again."

"This was a last-minute booking for us, as the hotel is one of two close to our daughter's home and the original accommodations for our visit fell through. What a great find! The room was quite satisfactory, clean, well- maintained, convenient, and reasonably priced (considering the cost of hotels in the San Diego area). Staff were helpful, pleasant, and patient. We would stay again by choice should the opportunity arise. "

"The breakfast selections were very good, the check-in was great and the parking and room size were excellent. It was the choice of toiletries and towels that left something to be desired: the sink soap bar is miniscule and only ONE, the bath towels are just adequate. The soap dispenser in the shower is not attached and therefore hard to use. I recommend a change in those items. Thank you."
