"My experience at this hotel was disappointing. I chose it for one specific reason: the pool and spa, so I could enjoy some time with my 3-year-old son. But when we went to the area, we were told that children are not allowed. This crucial restriction, which should be clearly stated at the time of booking, completely undermined the purpose of our stay. The rooms are basic and dated. The mattress was so soft it affected the quality of sleep, and the overall condition of the accommodation feels...

"Relaxed dining in the bar, plus option to eat in the more formal dining room. Good outside table area. Great relaxing lounge with comfortable chairs and attentive staff. This an older character building with some very interesting features, but is reasonably well maintained. Have now stayed here four times and will definitely be returning."

"Delusions of grandeur. A very small room with barely enough room to open a suitcase, slightly shabby decor. So many cushions on the bed that when you removed them they took up most of the available floor space! Bathroom ok but nowhere to put toiletries. Dinner ok, but nothing special. It was all “ok” but disappointing compared to the hype on the website."

"Arrived 30 mins before check in and was taken straight to our room. The lady that showed us to our room was lovely, and was very kind when my toddler chatted away to her. Room was clean and looked lovely. I liked that you could park right outside your room which was easy to unload the car. The view from the patio was endless countryside and at night it was rural enough that there was no light pollution and could see the stars. Room was well stocked with all types of teas and coffees. "Nice touch the fridge and microwave the bathroom and room looked clean But the walls are to thin Close to the road the traffic is all u hear . The people above every move they make you can hear, doors closing and feet stomping . "

"Ok but do NOT book in the summer!! Only one room has air con and the heated towel rail can not be turned off! Even with the fuse removed (owner advised we remove). This made the bathroom ridiculous hot which filtered through to the room. Room wasn’t the cleanest, stains up the walls from coffee (I hope) Aircon in all rooms would make it much more comfortable and the rest could be overlooked. Staff were fantastic though."

"Lovely hotel and bar area with great staff. Downside is that my room i dixated pri ate bathroom which I took to be ensuite but was separate from my room. The restaurant was closed on a Tuesday and I specifically book at hotels with a restaurant. I could not find anywhere online where this was indicated. I ordered myself a curry takeaway but had to eat in in my room as not allowed to bring food onto property to eat. So a bit awkward. Also first time I have stayed in a hotel where no wifi in...
