You are literally a 5 to 15 minute walk away from the Adarstra Gardens, the fish fry, the botanical Gardens, Ft Charlotte, Junkanoo Beach (crystal clear waters), the straw market down town Nassau. Its better in the Bahamas but even better at the Kozy Krib
A nice cold bottle of drinking water and "GOOMBAY PUNCH" (Native Bahamian Soda Pop) welcomes you, as you live and experience the Bahamas the Kozy Krib way. Kick off you shoes, relax your feet and soak it all up as you enjoy your truly authentic Bahamian stay here. From your secure, tropical , clean and kozy one bedroom living quarters , you occasionally get to hear the cock a doodle doo of the neighbour's rooster and the ruff ruff, occasional barking of the stray island dogs that frequent the area, and the Kozy Krib's resident dog "Charlie". He is absolutely a show stoppers. All of this reminds you that you are on an Island vacation getaway and that you are at the "Kozy Krib." Here you get to live side by side with me "Bop", my wife Theresa and our Son Aaron. We live in the unit adjacent to the Kozy Krib. What an advantage you have! We are here at your beck and call to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. You also live among the natives, where people of all walks of life (middle class to not so rich) greet you with that true Bahamian hospitality, spirit and smile. Say "hey bey!!" "Yeah mon!!!" and smile...Ahh thats it! You are now an assimilated Bahamian. Welcome to the Kozy Krib, here, we are NOT in one of the upscale rich areas of Nassau Bahamas, nor are we a Las Vegas style accommodation. Our immediate neighbourhood is the typical Island neighborhood. What we are and what we offer is a truly native cultural Bahamian vacation Experience. We're not the touristy glitz, glamour, casino and bright lights that you may be accustomed to, so when you arrive here do not be surprised when you realize that you're in a typical island neighborhood, with stray dogs, dogs barking at night and roosters crowing in the morning, all the Island life stuff. They say "It's better in the Bahamas", but I say, "it's even better and more authentic at the Kozy Krib."

Location, location, location...wow what a great place ...all the necessities were on site, comfy bed, and home, very clean, and welcoming ...but the location is to die for...you can walk to everything... highly recommend

It was in a great location, although didn't feel too safe going out at night and the property can use some upgrade - like the kitchen bulb wasn't working. But it is 10 minutes walk to Junkanoo beach and to downtown...I did it with my 2 teenage girls. Marcel was super helpful and friendly. We loved Charlie and Mojo too. I'm glad overall that we stayed among the locals. There is a grocery shop within only 2 minutes of walk...that was super helpful.

Spacious

My partner and I had a great time! The unit was cleanly and well put together. There were bottled waters already in the fridge and chilled along with Bahamian, pineapple flavored sodas. There was a space to relax in that was separate from the sleeping area and with a little baby being able to put them down and hangout without disrupting their sleep.

Good property price-wise

If you are unwilling to pay ridiculous Nassau prices, choose this. It has all you need for a comfortable stay. (Nothing luxurious, and many improvements possible, but you get what you pay for, and you are not among tourists)

Kozy Krib is cozy

and suitable for 2-3 people. Great location, close to Fish Fry and downtown, walkable. Accurate description. Mojo and Charlie were friendly and adorable. Neighborhood was somewhat noisy at night, and a few minor inconveniences, but we enjoyed our stay at the Kozy Krib.

What a great place to stay!

I'm so glad we found this place to stay, we were here for 2 weeks and they were absolutely relaxing. Roomy, comfortable, clean and well equipped, and walking distance to both the beach and downtown - we walked everywhere! Marcel is an excellent host, friendly and knowledgeable - and his dogs are just as friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Just a LOVELY place

The hosts were super friendly and helpful. The provided binder of ideas and suggestions was INCREDIBLY helpful. The space was clean, smelled good and was very welcoming. All information provided was accurate and easy to follow. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here, and very quickly started calling it "home". We did have a rental car but it is within walking distance of many things- including the bud route. And you really did feel like you were part of the neighborhood. The puppers were friendly...this was just a WONDERFUL place to stay, we are very glad we found it!

We lived like locals for two weeks, walking through the neighborhood and hopping on the bus to go downtown or to the large supermarket. We were regulars at the Fish Fry and Junkanoo Beach. As people who love to walk, this location was perfect for us and had everything we needed to experience Nassau on a budget. Marcel is a great host, very friendly and quick to respond. We very much enjoyed our stay and recommend it to anyone that wants to avoid resorts.

Close to Everything!

The Kozy Krib was a great stay and the host Marcel and his wife were very friendly, informative, welcoming and great people. Kozy Krib was very clean and safe. I will recommend his Kozy Krib stay to anyone who wants to explore the Bahamas to the fullest. It is close to all the fun. 5 minutes walk to the Fish Fry, 5 minutes to downtown Nassau, 5 minutes to Junkanoo Beach.close every thing!

Empfehlenswert

Gute Lage, zum Strand 15 Minuten zu Fuß, in die Stadt allerdings ca. 25, aber Lebensmittel-Laden in 2 Minuten zu erreichen und 2 Top-Sehenswürdigkeiten (Botanischer Garten, Fort Charlotte) quasi vor der Haustür. Einziges Manko war die Vermietung für 3, wobei es nur 2 Stühle gab und eine nicht wirklich nutzbare Campingliege. Ansonsten alles SUPER.
