"I wish I was being exaggerated when I say, this hotel almost ruined the entire Cartagena trip for us. Before I get into it I will add some considerations because I do not want to be unfair in this review. When booking this hotel, it is NOT very clear that this is on a completely separate island from the city of Cartagena, it is isolated and you have to take a boat back and fourth everytime you need to go. "It was clean. It is like a tiki hut. No wifi, no tv. Updated bathroom. They had a nice private plunge pool. They came and took dinner order. It took awhile to get dinner, but they are walking up mountain. It is not for anyone who can't do a lot of stairs. I would have liked a blanket on the bed and hot water. Overall, I recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy nature and the person they are with. "

The amenities and attention from the concierge, front desk, housekeepers, pool and beach, restaurant staff is beyond 5 stars… The only thing i would not consider 5 stars is the road that leads to the hotel, the gravel road is not suitable for everyone or any car, our taxi driver had a flat tire that had to change when he dropped us off, imagine if this happened in the middle of the road or at night!
