"The Darling Hotel itself is good. However there are limited restaurant options. Most seem to be cafe style, with many closed. The Star has seen better days."

"This was a huge let down as I booked it for a few friends for my birthday. The lighting in the room is very dim, but not in a good way (it felt very cold). The living space seemed like it wasn't swept and the couch looked stained. It all made for an uncomfortable experience."

"Very clean and well appointed room. Friendly, helpful staff. Appreciated the focus on sustainability (reusable water bottles in the room, filtered water station on each floor, reusable cloth shopping bag in each unit). Location was excellent, within easy walking distance of many attractions, restaurants and shopping areas including Darling Harbour and Barangaroo. Really enjoyed our stay very much!"

"Everything from the moment we arrived was top notch. Staff opened the doors anytime you came/went, porters were great with luggage handling, and rooms were well serviced. Very spacious rooms and bathrooms. Comfy bed and lots of plugs around the room as well lighting controls makes for a very usable space for longer stays. Having the pool/spa area downstairs is another great plus as it afforded us a way to shower after long flights as we arrived in the early morning prior to a room being...

"Definitely did not feel like a 5 star hotel as listed… don’t even include still bottled water etc. Front desk staff not very friendly. Room was clean but definitely feel like they skimped on some of the amenities. Room was listed to have record player and didn’t, only received after calling and asking. Rooftop bar was closed for a private event so I didn’t even get to check that out. Vip drink ticket was only given to me after I asked. "
