"We had a lovely stay at The Ship Inn. The room was really clean, bright and comfortable and plenty of space to relax in. This crucial restriction, which should be clearly stated at the time of booking, completely undermined the purpose of our stay. The rooms are basic and dated. The mattress was so soft it affected the quality of sleep, and the overall condition of the accommodation feels worn out. Breakfast was another letdown: they didn’t even have bread — something simple, inexpensive, and essential in any decent buffet. The only positive point is the staff. They were polite, friendly, and attentive. Unfortunately, that alone doesn’t make up for the rest. Overall, I don’t recommend this hotel and I won’t be returning."
