The resort overall is pretty good, expected more based off the ratings. The hurricane that hit it a few years ago had a significant impact on it. I would rate our stay as good. The cleanliness of the resort was very good, but there were a lot of things that were needing attention.
Our shower head was somewhat detached from the ceiling so it would spray water out of the shower for the first portion of the water running. The ice machine for our area didn't work the entire week. They ran out of one of the alcoholic beverages that I drink and the staff response was basically we have no idea when we'll have more.
It's an all inclusive but not really. Room service is at an extra charge. The refrigerator in our room got things cool, probably about the temperature you'd drink red wine.
We ate at three of the signature restaurants. The Greek one and Coral the seafood restaurant were not good. The Mexican one was ok. The daily buffet was completely hit and miss. The first day most of the entrees were cold. After that you'd be lucky if there was bacon in the morning or tortilla chips at lunch. They'd seem to only put them out about once an hour and then they'd be gone. Thankfully we realized most of this early on and ate away from the resort more than on site.
The good. The staff were all very friendly and extremely accommodating. That was the only portion of the trip that was 5 stars. The pool and beach area were nice and they had some fun activities to partake in.
