"The hospitality of the staff especially Ginny the owner of this fine establishment was very helpful and were great to chat with regarding the region of the Adirondacks. Let me not forget to mention the rooms are cozy, impeccable and lovely decorated by Ginny who is true artist. I do plan on visiting this area of the Adirondacks again and the Balsams will be base camp when exploring this beautiful area. "

"This particular Microtel was clean, comfortable, and convenient and the hotel staff was very friendly and accessible. We would stay here again when in the area. . Definitely recommend keeping the second lock on the door at all times because despite the "do not disturb" sign hanging on the knob, housekeeping let themselves in without knocking. Never had that happen before. "

"The property was fine but finding the front door was a challenge. It is not marked and in an odd place. The other odd thing was that despite the temps being in the 50's, the AC was on in all the hallways. Aside from these oddities, we would recommend thtis as a nice place to stay, especially if you ask for a room in the back. Lovely setting there and very quiet. Clean rooms and halls. The restaurant was open for 6:30 breakfast and the service was excellent. Huge portions but nicely cooked...

"Don’t let the outside of this property fool you - it looks like a dump. But my room was 90% renovated and very very nice. I say 90% because the Rodeway Inn curiously left the dated shower and shower hardware as-is, but the rest of the room was like brand new. And the property was super quiet. The value for my money was fantastic. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again. "

"We enjoyed our stay very much. We explored the canal history and the remarkable architecture of Little Falls. The Inn was very quiet until working hours when there were the normal sounds of work on the other floors. Unfortunately the WiFi signal was not usable-we could connect to it, but weren't actually able to get any use out of it. We look forward to another visit to the area."

"This accommodation worked great for us. Great location for a ride on the Erie Canal Trail. It isn’t a fancy place but has eating and antiques nearby. There is a working kitchen for those who want to cook or make coffee and a living area separate from bedroom. "This bed and breakfast excelled beyond all expectations! The property is exceptionally beautiful with many historic features scarcely seen except in museums of great old houses. Our host couldn't have been more wonderful and he helped us out after a long ride on the Erie Canal Trail. The amenities were excellent. I would go to Fort Plain just to stay there again. Thank you!"
