Read before booking: The Avila Beach area is undergoing several construction projects, including the construction of a new home at a neighboring lot. Even though SLO County noise ordinance is enforced, from time to time guest may experience construction noise.

Sunsetter is a 2 minute walk to the beach and downtown Avila Beach. The condo is located in one of the best gated community locations - Ocean 17. Entering the home at street level, there is a large jr suite (queen bed, twin/sleeper chair) with fireplace, TV, walk-in closet, and en suite bathroom. Also at street level is the 2 car garage and full size laundry center. Up a flight of stairs is the main living area with fireplace, gourmet kitchen with stainless-steel Viking appliances, breakfast bar and master suite.

From the kitchen is panoramic mountain views with balcony. The front balcony has a propane BBQ, and seating for 2. The front balcony is located off the kitchen making it convenient for meal prep and serving. Just off the living room is another balcony with a spiral staircase that leads to a spacious rooftop deck. The rooftop is perfect for lounging or entertaining. The BBQ center has a built-in mini refrigerator, gas BBQ.

Sunsetter is a corner unit in the complex, once the builder's private unit with many extra touches and amenities. A 2 minute walk to the beach, and easy stroll to Avila Beach Golf Course and Bob Jones biking and walking trail.

This was our second time staying in Ocean 17. We love the condo and rooftop deck, all balconies, kitchen, bedrooms, baths, thoughtfully appointed. We celebrated our daughter’s birthday this weekend and had everything we need for a birthday dinner. There was a power outage on Sunday, so we were not able to turn on the dishwasher upon check-out. There was 1 broken beach chair out of the 5 (we had brought a few of our own so we were OK), and we accidentally took the frisbee with us but returned it the same day and left it hidden behind a bush by the front door. Thanks, and would love to stay again!

A Pleasant stay

Location is perfection. We loved having two master bedrooms with attached baths. The main living area was great for relaxing after a day in the sun. The kitchen was well organized and amazing. Being able to easily walk from the house to the beach was so nice. Also the short (less than a block walk ) to Front St. with all the shops and eatery is an added plus. Our stay was quite pleasant.

Great stay!

Quality property in Avila. Responsive management as well - the washing machine did not work and, while repairs were quickly underway, the management team took our laundry offsite, washed it, and returned it folded neatly. We will be back!

Spring break

We were there for spring break and for our son to tour Cal Poly. The property was just as advertised. It was a great location and in good shape. The property management was easy to reach and communicate with. The washer wasn’t working, and we had packed just enough to wash during our stay. This was inconvenient but they did offer to wash for us and did a good job. We would definitely rent this property again!

Stay at Sunsetter in downtown Avila.

Had a wonderful time. The house is fantastic. I wish the TV had regular cable streaming was a pain. Also would be awesome to have had a key to the front door. It’s really expensive, I would stay more if it wasn’t so expensive but overall loved it all!!!

beautiful place

lovely views and ocean breeze, nothing like sleeping with sound of waves. The house itself is clean and super comfortable with some nice touches. The only thing I would add, we have two members of our family who have fear of heights and since this is a unit on the outside, the staircase if very open. they couldn't make it to the roof deck. Just a warning for those with serious fear of heights. but we didn't need it, views great from small deck and living room

Outstanding beach home. Park two cars in garage & never a need to leave. A block from Avila beach. Perfect beach to relax on & body surfing opportunities abound. The roof top view at sunset is spectacular. BBQ’d every night and enjoyed the views. Truly a special place.
