We were very disappointed in our experience on this stay and felt the condo and setting were not adequately described on VRBO. The condo is in a dilapidated, sketchy area. We are experienced and tolerant travelers, but arriving at the condo, we were concerned that the area was not safe to park our cars, and we certainly would not feel safe walking around at night. There were several men hanging around, beat up cars and the smell of weed.The building across from the rental unit was falling down.Entering the condo, the door handle was loose and a broken coffee table was the first thing we saw.The condo itself was clean with a small but nice kitchen. Bathroom was clean. The bed was comfortable, the sofa bed was lumpy and thin.We stayed the first night of our 3 night stay since we had no choice at that time of day. Then we had to find another place to stay. We asked for a partial refund, but the owner refused and stood by the effusive 10/10 and 9/10 ratings. We are baffled and want to be sure future guests have a truer picture than we did.
