Total rip off. Was told upon check in that I needed to make a 50 euro deposit for each night of my stay, 150 total, which I did without problem. I was told by the reception lady that since I had paid with a debit card I would get the money back in cash. When I checked out I was told that it would be refunded to my card and they charged me a few euros for something they didn’t explain. After checking the invoice however I noted that it said the money went to a MasterCard but the card I used to pay was a visa. Returned to the counter to ask why that was and was told that it was because I had done my reservation through expedia. I told them that that had nothing to do with it. Since I had paid the deposit directly with them the whole expedia thing had nothing to do. I asked if they could give me my money in cash but was told that since the transaction was already in progress they couldn’t do anything about it. After a day I sent an email asking why I hadn’t gotten my money and was told to wait two to three days. I waited and still didn’t get the money. I sent another email that was ignored. And I still don’t have my money.

Dear Sofia,
Thank you for your review.
We are sorry to read that on this occasion not all of our services met your expectations. I would like to offer my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience that this has caused.
At check-in we ask our guest for a deposit for any extra’s or incidentals. If the guest does not have a credit card then we take a payment on a debit card. At check-out you will receive it back in cash.
May I ask who you have spoken to as I would like to solve this matter with you. Please contact the hotel directly and ask for the front desk manager, Gillian, so we can solve this issue as soon as possible for you.
Miss Sofia, again our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.
Thank you again for sharing your experience.
Kind regards, Harro Menkhorst General Manager
