Our Akumal home is BEACHFRONT with beautiful ocean views. The home features 4 bedrooms - all with OCEAN VIEWS - and each bedroom has it's own bathroom, an air conditioning unit and ceiling fan. Swimming pool beach side with furnished pool deck, eating area and lounge chairs. There is a beachside balcony that runs the length of the house. The rooftop observation deck is ideal for lounging, entertaining and taking in the beautiful views. Great on-site features: 2 kayaks, snorkeling, hammocks.

• EVERY BEDROOM HAS OCEAN VIEW - 4 Bedrooms each with it's own bathroom (4 in total), A/C unit, ceiling fan, programmable safe, closet, storage.
• The bedding configuration in the home is: King, King, 2 Queens and 2 Queens.
• Swimming pool beach side with furnished pool deck, eating area and lounge chairs.
• Other outdoor amenities: outdoor shower, 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, hammocks, lounge chairs, BBQ grill
• 2nd floor ocean view terrace with stairway to pool and beach.
• Roof top observation deck with lounge and patio.
• Living room is complete with furnishings, Smart TV, blu-ray and DVD player, Wi-Fi and Ocean Views.

We will handle all of your requests from inquiry to check-in to check-out.

Pancho and Mercedes are our caretakers for the home and they will provide you with daily maid service and more (including cooking meals upon request for additional fee).

Our beachfront villa is the ideal vacation spot for families, couples, friends traveling together, corporate retreats, luxury travelers and all visitors to Akumal who are looking for a 5-star property and 5-star experience.

Please note: sometimes the ocean brings sargasso (sargassum seaweed) up on the beach. It is not predictable and is a part of nature. We do our best to clean it up each day so our guests can enjoy a sandy beach. However, this is not always possible, even with the help of our HOA and Pancho (our caretaker) working tirelessly. We apologize in advance if the ocean brings the sargasso during your stay.

We had an incredible stay—truly one of the best homes we’ve experienced in all our travels. It was perfect for our two families (eight people total), offering plenty of space and comfort for everyone.The house was exceptionally well equipped, including water toys like kayaks, boogie boards, water shoes, and goggles, which we could take straight out into the crystal-clear water. It made enjoying the ocean effortless and fun.Pancho and Mercedes took outstanding care of us throughout our stay. They cleaned daily and prepared several dinners for us, each one absolutely delicious. They genuinely made our trip extra special. Brittney was also fantastic—extremely responsive and helpful during the planning process and in getting us settled.A helpful tip for future guests: consider doing your grocery shopping in Tulum. The stores there are much larger and generally offer better prices than those in Akumal.Overall, this was a 10/10 experience, and we would absolutely stay here again.

Tulum is amazing, but don't go during the summer

Frist let me say that Pancho and Mercedes could not have been nicer and more attentive. 5 stars for them. The meal they prepared was wonderful and would highly recommend. I would highly recommend that you enjoy the meal at the beginning of the trip, so that you can enjoy the leftovers throughout the trip. They were also attentive to our needs throughout the trip and keep everything in order. I would recommend the property to anyone just by the fact of having Pancho and Mercedes there. With that said, the property is a touch tired. There is only A/C in the bedrooms, but not in the rest of the house. If you opened the front and back doors and got a cross wind, then it was a bit more comfortable. Regardless, you are better served to be outdoors - where you want to be anyways.Despite all of Pancho's efforts to clear the seaweed off the beach, the seaweed is out of control. Covers much of the beach and makes it challenging to wade into the water, or sit on the beach due to the smell. We look forward to coming back to Tulum, but not during the summer months.

Amazing House, Location, and Caretakers

Just got back from our week long stay at this house and there is nothing bad to say, its all amazing. Everything is as described, the house is on one of the better sections of beach with good snorkeling out front. Plenty of shade or sun, whichever you prefer. Pancho and Mercedes kept the place spotless and Mercedes food was fantastic. The pool was also a great configuration for our non swimmer 3 year old. About half of it is 2ft deep with a drop off to a 6ft deep end vs starting off shallow and slowly getting deeper. We put the pool vacuum hose across the pool to show our (fully supervised) little one where the drop off was.The collectivo's were easy to access from the house with an easy 400yd walk to the highway. A short inexpensive ride then leaves you another 400yds from where the action is in Akumal.

Family Fun in the Sun 2024

There's so much to love about this property. The location was perfect: the beach; the proximity to shopping, restaurants & attractions (best to rent a car); the security & privacy! The house had everything & more than we needed: a pool, lots of water toys for both the ocean & the pool, a well-supplied kitchen, fresh drinking water, 4 spacious bedrooms with ensuites, & so many spaces to gather & play. We knew the property included service from grounds' staff & caretakers as well as security; however, we weren't prepared for such excellent care, especially from Pancho and Mercedes (an amazing cook, by the way)...such a bonus! Brittany, the property manager, was responsive and generous. You all have spoiled for us anything less. Many thanks for facilitating our once-in-a-lifetime experience!

This house was awesome! I rent from VRBO often and this was one of the best houses we have ever stayed at. Poncho and Mercedes go above and beyond to make you comfortable without crowding you. Wonderful stay in Akumal

My wife and I spent a week at Casa Playa Del Caribe, along with my brother and sister and their spouses. We had a wonderful time. The house was fabulous, exactly as described. The caretakers, Pancho and Mercedes, were warm and welcoming, providing great service while respecting our privacy. Brittany was an excellent host, with prompt and thorough communication in advance and throughout our stay. The outdoor living area and beach were wonderful. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. Also, the snorkeling at the reef was very good (much better than we experienced on our snorkeling side trip to Cozumel). We had some very good dinners in Akumal. In all, I highly recommend Casa Playa Del Caribe as a vacation home away from home!

This is our second visit and it was again, amazing. The house is more beautiful than the pictures and the location could not be more perfect. Watched the best sunrises from the private beach, and the water out front is perfect for snorkeling. Brittany who manages the property is responsive and wonderful to work with. Lastly Pancho and Mercedes took such good care of us! Merecedes is an amazing cook . I highly recommend having her cook for you while you’re there. Pancho keeps the place looking beautiful!!!! Highly recommend this home!

Amazing house, amazing caretakers, amazing beach!

Our group of 9 stayed in Playa Casa del Caribe Feb 3-10, 2024. The house was perfect! We’ve never stayed in a house where the caretakers cleaned every day and kept the house stocked with purified water and toiletries. They thought of everything! Pancho and Mercedes were amazing! Pancho keeps the grounds manicured to perfection and Mercedes keeps the house clean. She also made the best food we ate while there! Delicious!!! The house is located in the perfect spot in Akumal. We walked the beach in both directions and quickly realized this is the best house, yard/beach and the best location in the Riviera Maya! We had a great time snorkeling right out the back door (bring water shoes - there is rock and coral from the shore), watching the pelicans dive for fish, and watching the iguanas and hermit crabs. We even had 2 raccoon visitors one night and saw a couple coati run across the neighborhood. It was amazing! The house itself has plenty of space for everyone. We loved the beach chairs under a palm tree and also sunning ourselves on the roof! Kids loved the pool (although it was too cold for us adults). This house made our vacation to Mexico. 10/10 stars!

Perfect Family Escape

Our extended family, ranging from 14 to 80+ years, spent the week before Christmas enjoying this slice of paradise. The setting on the beach is perfect. The 4 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms comfortably accommodated everyone, and the central living/dining/kitchen provided space for us all to gather. The on-site caretakers, Pancho and Mercedes, were responsive and great. Short drives to both Akumal and Tulum for exploring. And best of all ... no mosquitos at the house! Stay here - you will love it!

A Week in Paradise

The home and it's location were perfect. There was plenty of room for all of us, and the pool and private beach were everything. We swam in the pool, and went snorkeling and kayaking in the ocean on a daily basis. We walked along the beach in both directions & ended up at the "Jungle Fish" restaurant which was excellent. Poncho & Mercedes were wonderful & cooked us a meal one night which was also excellent. We saw Iguanas, Hermit Crabs, a Seagull, and other beautiful birds every day. And the view of the beach and ocean from every part of the property inside and out, was absolutely breathtaking.

Accurate description of Paradise

The VRBO listing is accurate. We did feel like we were in paradise. Our 6 to 8 year old grandchildren had a blast with both the beach and the pool as their playground. Mercedes and Pancho added to our serenity by the care they took of the house and beach. Just amazing.

Surprisingly Stunning

This property is as beautiful as it looks. Yes, the beach is just out your back door. Extremely private. Most days we had the whole bay to ourselves. After walking the bay , we realized that this property had the best beach in the bay. The snorkeling was amazing and perfect for beginners. Poncho and Mercedes were wonderful. They kept everything clean and cooked a wonderful supper for us one night. It was perfect for our family vacation.

An Absolute Dream

If you are reading this look no further because you have found your next vacation rental. This property was simply breathtaking and my family was in awe since the moment we stepped foot in the home. Equipped with everything you need to make lovely meals, including a charcoal grill by the pool where we enjoyed many bbqs. The home is so spacious we each felt at home in our own space with the common areas located in the center of the house. The rooftop provided stunning views and endless rays of sunshine to bask in. The beach was the star of the show… we spent as much time as possible paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkeling where we saw amazing wildlife. Our favorite was the resident pelican who would fish every morning and evening. A truly incredible sight. The location of the property is perfectly stationed in the middle of all cenotes, ruins, lagoons, downtown, and more. What set this place apart above all were groundskeepers Pancho and Mercedes. They were so inviting, kind, and resourceful. They were there for us whenever we needed anything, kept our space clean and safe but did so all while maintaining our privacy. I can’t thank them enough and Brittany you have such a gem of a spot in Akumal and we would be lucky to return in the future.

A Thanksgiving to remember

This was probably the best handled property we have stayed at. From Brittany being so kind and helpful over VRBO and then Mercedes and Pancho at the Villa we never wanted for anything. My family (2 children 7,12) and our best friends family with their children (9,12) had an idyllic time. The house was set up perfectly for two families traveling with kids. All the pictures are exactly what it is but what you don't see is the beautiful on shore winds that cool you off everyday so it's not so hot and blow the bugs right away. Although, it's always wise to bring something just in case, we didn't have any issues though. Also, I don't want to spoil it but these Pelicans are incredible that swoop down right in front of you to catch your dinner, it's something out of a nature show. And the snorkeling right outside the house, so easy. Truly an amazing house set in a quiet cove and managed by a great team. Thank you all.
